Kogi East Economic Forum, a socioeconomic think-tank has concluded arrangements to hold the maiden edition of Kogi East Economic Summit on 30th December, 2025.
With the theme, “Harnessing the Economic Potentials of Kogi East for Prosperity, the summit seeks to empower and support selected artisans, market women, widows, orphans and unemployed graduates.
According to a statement issued by Dr Josiah Ocheja, President of Kogi East Economic Forum and Convener of the Summit, the event will feature paper presentation by a Lead Speaker.
Other speakers at the occasion will speak on; “The use of Information Communication and Digital Technologies for the prosperity of Kogi East, Re orientating the mind set of the people of Kogi East.” and “Tapping into the Cashew Value Chain for the prosperity of Kogi East.”
Dr Ocheja used the opportunity to invite Kogi Easterners who are businesses, corporate organisations, private and public sector players to identify with the planned event by gracing and extending supports while urging members of the forum to play a leading role through financial contributions and other areas.
The statement further revealed that “plans are also in top gear to reach out to political appointees, top civil servants and industry players”.
“A communique to be sent to the nine LGA Chairmen in Kogi East and Kogi state Government will be issued at the end of the program”, the president concluded
