To curb overstays and ensure compliance among travellers, Qatar has announced new visa regulations affecting Nigerian nationals. The updated policies, effective immediately, introduce several key requirements for Nigerian travellers planning to visit Qatar..  .Read ..Full .. Article.. .

 

According to the Qatar Ministry of Interior, travellers are now required to book a confirmed return transfer along with their hotel reservation before their tourist or transit visa can be processed. Additionally, the new rules restrict visa eligibility to females or entire families, with male travellers only eligible if accompanied by family members.

 

Furthermore, only applicants staying at 5-star hotels will qualify for the visa process, representing a significant shift from previous criteria.

 

These changes impact all pending visa applications and are part of Qatar’s broader efforts to regulate tourism and prevent overstays.

 

This development highlights Qatar’s tightening of its visa policies, aimed at streamlining entry procedures and enhancing border
