Following an executive order signed by Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, Benue Printing and Publishing Corporation has become Dan Agbese printing and publishing Corporation with immediate effect.
This was announced by Governor Hyacinth Alia as he personally paid his last respects to the late media icon, Chief Dan Agbese, as his body departed for his hometown of Agila for burial in February 2026.
Migrationwatch learned that the change of name is permanent and shall apply in all official documents, communications, legal instruments, signage, branding materials and public references as all relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies have been directed to take necessary administrative and legal steps to ensure full compliance and implementation.
Numerous graduates of Agbese’s personal, intangible journalistic institution where serious minded, self motivated young men and women learn the noble art of writing by simply following, copying and practicing Agbese’s rare style of writing, have commended the governor for the honour well deserved.
In a remark, the publisher and Chief Executive of of Migrationwatch Magazine, Saint Michael Onoja, one of the many graduates said
“With this honour, Alia has immortalized a hero whose career and life style had assisted many to discover their livelihoods. By this gesture the governor has shown himself to be fair, people-centered and highly detribalise.” Onoja said
Onoja prayed God to grant Agbese a peaceful rest in eternity.
