An attack by suspected Lakurawa terrorists on a Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) checkpoint in Maje, Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State has left a Customs officer dead.
The attackers, reportedly riding on motorcycles, opened fire on the checkpoint before fleeing towards the border forests.
This was disclosed by Bakatsine, a conflict and crisis journalist covering insecurity in Nigeria’s northwest in b post on X .
The journalist wrote: “Yesterday night, Lakurawa attack Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) checkpoint in Maje, Bagudu LGA of Kebbi State. One Customs officer was confirmed k*lled during the attack. The attackers reportedly arrived on motorcycles and opened fire before withdrawing towards the border forests.
